A joint venture between Shaw Group Inc. and AECOM Technology Corp. has won a U.S. Navy contract for construction services in the Pacific that could be worth up to $900 million.

The joint venture, Pacific Contingency Services LLC, will provide incidental construction in response to natural disasters, humanitarian efforts and military actions, and could involve airfield and port operations and a variety of other construction services.

The joint venture is one of six companies that will compete for up to $900 million in work under the contract, which includes a one-year base period and four option years.
