The Baton Rouge Zoo added more lights and activities for this year’s annual ZooLights display, according to a press release from the zoo.

“ZooLights is a unique way to experience the zoo,” said Zoo Director Phil Frost. “Not many people are used to seeing a 30 foot elephant in lights! The zoo is a place where families can spend time with one another, and we hope that ZooLights will become a part of families’ traditions.”

ZooLights will run Nov. 23 through Nov. 25 and then from Dec. 1 through Dec. 30, with the exception of Christmas Eve and Christmas.

The admission gate will be open from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and zoo grounds will close at 9 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $3 for children ages 2 to 12 years old. More information is available at
