The Daily Digest will not be sent out Monday in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

City-parish, state and federal offices will be closed Monday in observance of the holiday.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court’s Office and juvenile, district, city and federal courts will be closed Monday.

Garbage and recyclables will be collected Monday. The North landfill will be open.

Post offices will be closed Monday and only Express mail will be delivered Monday.

The Capital Area Transit System will operate Monday on a Sunday bus schedule.

East Baton Rouge Parish public schools and schools of the Catholic Diocese will be closed Monday. LSU, Southern University and Baton Rouge Community College will be closed Monday.

BREC will close these facilities on Monday: Independence Park Theatre; Magnolia Mound Plantation; Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center; Highland Road Park Observatory; Baton Rouge Gallery and Farr Park Equestrian Center; all BREC fitness centers; all adult leisure facilities, except Anna T. Jordan Community Park and Webb Park facilities.

These BREC facilities will be open on Monday: all recreation facilities; BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo; the Liberty Lagoon Aquatics Center; Perkins Road Extreme Sports Park; all four BREC tennis centers; and all seven BREC golf courses during regular operating hours.

East Baton Rouge Parish public libraries will be closed Monday.

Most banks will be closed Monday.
