As part of Louisiana’s Bicentennial Celebration, Charles Fryling of the LSU’s Reich School of Landscape Architecture will discuss the past, present, and future of the Atchafalaya, America’s largest river swamp, at the Jones Creek Regional Branch Library, 6222 Jones Creek Road, on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Fryling, who teaches landscape ecology, has worked with the Atchafalaya Basin since the 1960s. His photography of the region has been displayed throughout Louisiana.
The Atchafalaya Basin is one of the top 10 wilderness areas in the United States and boasts an incredible diversity of wildlife and plants.
