Momma Goldberg’s Deli will be open in the shopping center at Highland Road and West State Street Monday.
The deli chain, which started in Auburn, Ala., in 1976, began franchising in 2007. It now has 24 locations and the Baton Rouge restaurant will be its first in Louisiana, the company said.
The local franchise will be operated by Michael Holland and Brad Matthews, who approached the restaurant about expanding into the state.
The Baton Rouge deli, located at 3260 Highland Road, Suite 6, will be equipped with several wide screen TVs and have free Wi-Fi available. It will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 3 a.m. Monday through Saturday and 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
