The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office SWAT team had to force their way into an apartment Thursday night to arrest a man who had reportedly fired a gun during a disturbance, Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Casey Rayborn Hicks said Friday.
Deputies responded to a call about an argument involving gunfire at 10612 Stanley Aubin Lane, Apt. A at 11:30 p.m., Hicks said.
Deputies tried to get the man inside the apartment to come out but he refused, Hicks said.
Sheriff’s Office Special Weapons and Tactical Team members said the man was alone and no one was injured, Hicks said.
Marc Himel, 45, was booked into Parish Prison on a count of illegal discharge of a weapon, Hicks said.
