New Orleans — Motorists headed through the French Quarter in the coming days should prepare for detours on Decatur Street during the early morning hours as broadcast crews prepare for the Super Bowl.
Decatur Street between Wilkinson Row and Madison Street will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday and Feb. 5-6.
Meanwhile, horse carriages will be relocated from the front of Jackson Square to other staging areas Monday through Wednesday, Jan. 21-22 and Feb. 4-5.
The Decatur Street closures are in addition to other Super Bowl road closures officials recently announced. Traffic plans, including initial maps for each date and time period, are available online at http://www.nola.gov/superbowl.
The Super Bowl is Feb. 3.
