The past two Super Bowl champions, the New Orleans Saints and last year’s winner, the Green Bay Packers, will play in this year’s first NFL game of the season Thursday night at Lambeau Field.

The game starts at 7:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on NBC and WTGE-FM, 100.7.

In other Saints news, the team is worth $965 million, making the team the 21st most valuable franchise in the National Football League, according to Forbes magazine.

Owner Tom Benson bought the team in 1985 for $70 million.

“New Orleans lacks the corporate sponsors and high net worth individuals that cities like New York, Dallas, Boston, Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia have. But thanks to an improved stadium and lease, Tom Benson’s Saints should have no problem being financially competitive with all but a handful of NFL teams,” according to Forbes.

The Dallas Cowboys had the highest valuation, at $1.85 billion, among the 32 NFL clubs, according to Forbes.
