Coca-Cola Bottling Company United has appointed Paul Favaron as the new president of the Gulf Coast Region.

Favaron will oversee the Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and Lake Charles territories, as well as the Mississippi cities of McComb, Gulfport, and Hattiesburg, according to a news release.

Favaron replaces former president Darian Chustz, who died last month following a brief illness.

Favaron earned his bachelor’s degree from LSU in 1976 shortly before beginning his career as a manager trainee at the Baton Rouge Coca-Cola Bottling Company.

He held a number of key sales positions in Baton Rouge, including youth market manager, cold drink sales manager and home market sales manager.

In July 1985 , Favaron was promoted to vice president of sales and division manager for Lafayette Coca-Cola. He has worked for Coca-cola for 36 years.
