An upper-level ridge of high pressure that has been sitting over the south-central United States will continue to bring hot temperatures to the Baton Rouge area, WBRZ Meteorologist Dave Nussbaum wrote in the station’s blog Wednesday.

There will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies with only spotty storms possible. High temperatures will be in the mid 90s with the Heat Index up to 105 to 110 degrees. A heat advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service for today through Thursday evening.
