Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop Wednesday and some could become strong with gusty winds, heavy rain, and plenty of lightning, WBRZ meteorologist Dave Nussbaum says in the station’s daily weather blog.

Wednesday will be very hot before the storms develop with highs in the upper 90s. The heat index will be around 105 to 110 degrees, so the National Weather Service has continued the heat advisory for Wednesday.

Wednesday night will be warm and muggy with lows in the mid 70s.
