ExxonMobil representatives presented the LSU Foundation with an $86,000 gift on behalf of Exxon Mobil Corporation during Monday reception at the LSU Faculty Club, according to an LSU news release.

The gift provides support to the College of Engineering, in the areas of chemical, mechanical, petroleum, electrical and civil engineering, and for its Minority Engineering Program Academic Excellence Workshops; the E. J. Ourso College of Business, in the areas of accounting, business administration, and information systems and decision sciences; the College of Science, in the Departments of Computer Science and Geology & Geophysics; and LSU Career Services, through its STAR Employer Program.

“Exxon Mobil Corporation’s wide-ranging support for academic programs and student life reflects the careful consideration with which the company invests in LSU,” Lee Griffin, president and chief executive officer of the LSU Foundation, said in the release. “We are grateful for ExxonMobil’s continuing partnership with the LSU Foundation, which benefits the entire campus community.”
