The East Baton Rouge Parish School System Employee Health Fair is slated for Tuesday at 9:30 a.m., according to a school system news release.

The free event is open to school system employees and school system retirees.

The public school district’s Employee Benefits Division is hosting the system-wide health fair for almost 6,000 East Baton Rouge Parish School System employees plus district retirees.

The event, scheduled all day at the Instructional Resource Center on South Foster Drive, includes: blood pressure tests, vision screenings, a blood drive, blood glucose screenings, cholesterol screenings, and health insurance and retirement information. Also included are tips from vendors, including: Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana, Lincoln Financial Group, Medco Health, and VALIC.

The Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center Blood Donor Center will be in charge of the blood drive and donors will be eligible to win one of four gas cards valued at $250 each. Those intending to donate blood should eat and drink plenty of fluids prior to giving blood.

Door prize drawings will be held at the end of the event.

The event will be held at the Instructional Resource Center, 1022 S. Foster Drive.
