LSU Theatre will open its lab season with a production of “Eurydice” on Tuesday, Oct. 28, in the Studio Theatre in the Music and Dramatic Arts Building on Dalrymple Drive.

The show runs through Sunday, Nov. 2.

Performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. each day with an additional 2 p.m. matinee on Nov. 2.

In “Eurydice,” playwright Sarah Ruhl reimagines the classic myth of Orpheus through the eyes of its heroine. Dying too young on her wedding day, Eurydice must journey to the underworld, where she reunites with her father and struggles to remember her lost love. With contemporary characters, ingenious plot twists and breathtaking visual effects, the play is a fresh look at a timeless love story.

The LSU production will be directed by Erin Sheets.

Tickets are $10 each and can only be purchased at the door.
