The LSU School of Music will host an international gathering of harpists who fuse the classical instrument with the smooth sounds of jazz music.
The International Jazz Harp Foundation, or IJHF, will hold its three-day Jazz Harp Academy Friday-Sunday, Sept. 23-25, beginning at 9 a.m. each day at the LSU School of Music Recital Hall, corner of Dalrymple Drive and Infirmary Road.

At the end of the workshop, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, there will be a jam session and concert, held in the School of Music Recital Hall. The pre-program of the concert will offer a stage to the course participants to showcase what they have learned.
Registration for the three-day intensive course is $350. To register, call (225) 578-0521 or email email@example.com.
Tickets are also being sold for the various lecture and concert performances through both the LSU School of Music and through the IJHP website.
