The Baton Rouge Affiliate of The National Alliance on Mental Illness will present “The Mind’s Eye,” an art exhibition featuring works of art by artists in the community living with mental illness, with a reception and gala at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 30, at the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge, 427 Laurel St.
NAMI Baton Rouge is hosting the show to raise public awareness of mental illness through free support groups and free educational programs, raise funds to present these free programs and to create an opportunity for artists to showcase their work.
All profits from sales of exhibited artwork will go to the artists. The event will also feature a silent auction.
Tickets for the gala and exhibition are $40 for individuals, $70 for couples and $20 for students with ID.
Advance tickets can be purchased through PayPal by visiting namibr.org. Tickets also will be available at the door for $50 for individuals and $90 for couples.
