FW Gallery is partnering with the Shaw Center for the Arts, 100 Lafayette St., to showcase FW artists. The gallery will bring a selection of works from its roster of accomplished artists to the first- and fourth-floor public spaces.
The shows will open with a reception from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4.
In the first-floor lobby corridor, FW will present an encore show of Baton Rouge native Andrea Pramuk, who is now based in Austin. Her aqueous compositions of inks and acrylics provide a respite from the cement and steel landscape of downtown. The show runs through Feb. 12.
Gracing the walls of the fourth-floor River Terrace will be an exhibit of Louisiana artist Sarah Wiseman. Her hand-drawn architectural renderings are layered between vintage wallpapers and sewn accents, mirroring patterns she sees in her everyday experiences. The show runs through Jan. 1.
The Shaw Center is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.
