Lafayette Ballet Theatre will present ‘Cinderella’ _lowres

The Lafayette Ballet Theatre will bring to life the magic of “Cinderella’s” inspiring rags-to-riches tale in a classic production at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Heymann Performing Arts Center in Lafayette.

The performance is appropriate for all ages.

Principal guest artists will join the local cast in the three-act, full-length ballet, set to Sergei Prokofiev’s celebrated score. Acclaimed Russian great Natalia Ashikhmina, a principal dancer with the Louisville Ballet, will perform the lead role of Cinderella.

Dancing the role of Prince will be Nurlan Abougaliev, a principal dancer with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. Timothy Lynch of Ballet Met will perform as Father.

Tickets are: front orchestra, $45; back orchestra, $38; first balcony, $32; and back orchestra, $20.
