Tickets are on sale for the Louisiana Sinfonietta’s 2011-12 “Sundays at 2” season.

The Sinfonietta, under the direction of Dinos Constantinides, will perform five concerts of varied music.

The first concert is scheduled for 2 p.m. Oct. 9 at First Baptist Church, 529 Convention St. Music will be by Schubert, Beethoven, Tsalahouris, Mendelssohn, and Constantinides with the virtuoso violinist Yova Milanova as soloist. The Sinfonietta will close its series on April 29, 2012, at the LSU School of Music Recital Hall with music of the great 20th century masters: Schoenberg, Krenek, Britten, Corigliano and Shostakovich.

Concerts will be Sundays, Oct. 9, Nov. 6 and Jan. 22, March 12 and April 20, 2012, and will feature a wide range of music and guest artists.

Season tickets are $70 for adults and $60 for seniors and students. Individual concert tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for seniors and students.
