The LSU Composers Forum will present two concerts at 4 p.m. Monday, April 20, and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 26, in the LSU School of Music Recital Hall.

The free event will present works by the LSU student composers, along with works by Dinos Constantinides and Johannes Brahms.

The Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra’s Concertmaster Borislava Iltcheva and her group Magnolia Strings will perform. Members are violinists Borislava Iltcheva and Stefka Madere, violist Aaron Farrell and cellist Molly Gofoth. Clarinetists Robert Dilutis and John Coppa, pianist Dianne Frazier and saxophonists Ashley Kelly and Perry Roth also will perform.

The concerts features music by student composers Eric Lacy, Ryan McKey, Harold Mims, Crystal Birdsong, Michael Paul Mitchell, Jase Nugent, Matthew DePaula, Julissa Robinson and Timothy Beattie. Also on the program will be the Johannes Brahms’ “Clarinet Quintet” and the “Clarinet Quintet Mutability” by Dinos Constantinides.
