Baton Rouge Little Theater honored numerous actors, actresses and volunteers at its annual Beaux Arts Ball on June 4. The best of the 65th season were recognized and announced at the event.

This year Charlynn White was named Outstanding Actress in a Comedy/Drama for her portrayal of Veronica in Miss Witherspoon, and Albert Nolan was named Outstanding Actor in a Comedy/Drama for his portrayal of Dr. David Mortimore in It Runs in the Family.

Joyce Stewart was named Outstanding Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Maryamma in Miss Witherspoon, and Zac Thriffiley was named Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy/Drama for his role of Leslie in It Runs in the Family.

The Outstanding Actress in a Musical went to Lauren Regner for her role as Miss Adelaide in Guys and Dolls, and Outstanding Actor in a Musical went to Mike Katchmer for his portrayal of The Pirate King in The Pirates of Penzance.

Shelly Regner was named Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Musical for her role as Maureen in Rent, and Ray Gaspard was named Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of Nicely-Nicely Johnson in Guys and Dolls.

Chelsea Moormann received the Back Stage Award for her work behind the scenes.

“This is a small token of the appreciation we give to all volunteers and staff for creating a theater that can provide and deliver the best of performance in the Greater Baton Rouge Area,” said Kevin Harger, president of the Board of Governors.

A special presentation also was made to Harger, outgoing board president.
