Baton Rouge Community College will open its eighth annual ArtsFest celebration on Monday.

The event, which runs through March 24, will include music, visual art, hands-on ceramics activities, readings and theater.

The event is a yearly showcase of the arts with exhibitions and performances by prominent and emerging artists in a broad variety of artistic disciplines. Visiting guest artists will give master classes and performances in graphic design, photography, filmmaking and painting.

Highlights include a college fair, a student talent show and a student art show.
