HAMMOND — The Hammond Regional Arts Center’s 2015 Brews Arts Festival is set for 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, behind the Arts Center in the Morrison Alley parking lot off North Cypress Street downtown.
The sixth annual Brews Arts Festival brings together local artists and local artisan beers and will treat patrons to an extensive international selection of 40-plus beers, including local microbrews and beers from around the world. There will be food prepared by Kevin Cote, music, live art demonstrations and several booths of artwork and crafts by local and regional artists and artisans.
Returning to this year’s Brews Arts Festival is a partnership with the Louisiana Children’s Discovery Center’s “Almost Sleepover,” where children will get dinner, enjoy discovery time on the center’s floor, take part in fun, games, dances and activities, and will be given snacks before watching a movie to end the night.
Tickets to the Almost Sleepover are available to parents of potty-trained children for $25 for the first child and $20 for each additional child.
Tickets for the festival are $25 at the door or $20 in advance and can be purchased at the Arts Center during regular gallery hours — noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday — or by calling (985) 542-7113 or visiting hammondarts.org.
You must be 21 or older to purchase tickets and must present a valid ID at the event. Proceeds go to benefit the Hammond Regional Arts Council.
