Cancer Services BR plans jambalaya sale

Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge is taking orders for its spring jambalaya fund-raiser, which will be held at 11:30 a.m. April 10 at its headquarters at 550 Lobdell Ave., Baton Rouge.

The nonprofit organization partners annually with Knights of Columbus Councils No. 3331 and No. 8878 for the jambalaya sale. The councils donate funds and time to prepare the lunches, which include jambalaya, salad, bread and dessert. Cost is $10 a plate.

Epicurean Society sets Crawfête on April 16

The Baton Rouge Epicurean Society and Mockler Beverage Co. are hosting Crawfête 2015 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. April 16 to benefit childhood health and nutrition programs.

The event will be held at Mockler, 11811 Reiger Road, Baton Rouge. Tickets are $50 each and are available at or by calling (225) 773-4889.

Guests will be able to sample crawfish creations from Baton Rouge chefs, and the dishes will be paired with wines, craft beers and spirits. There will entertainment by the John Gray Trio and an auction featuring epicurean dinners.

Windsor Court in N.O. sets Garden Tea Party

If you’re ready for springtime, Windsor Court in New Orleans says its upcoming Garden Party Tea is “perfect for getting into the spring mood.”

The event will be held at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. March 21 and at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Sunday in Le Salon at Windsor Hotel, 300 Gravier St., New Orleans.

The traditional English tea will be set in the style of a garden party. Cost is $37 per person, plus tax and gratuity.
