The Baton Rouge Assembly was formed in 1961 by a group of Baton Rouge men who had grown up together when the city was just a small town. The founders realized that as the city grew rapidly after World War II, old friends were losing contact with each other.

Because they wanted their children to know one another, they established the Baton Rouge Assembly as an organization to provide social contact with the common thread being family residence in the area prior to 1910.

Scott Joseph Folse is this year’s Assembly chairman. John Michael Selser is the assistant chairman, Dr. Otto Christian Hall is the ball chairman and Keith Christian Armstrong is the assistant ball chairman.
