CHARITABLE THRIFT STORE ASSOCIATE, HIV/AIDS Alliance Region Two (HAART) — (225) 424-1772: DJ’s Den is a closet providing clothing and household items to HIV individuals. HAART needs consistent, reliable volunteers who can come weekly to help manage, sort, organize and track donations. Must be 18 or older.

BRYC HOUSE SERVICE, Baton Rouge Youth Coalition (BRYC) — (225) 456-5752: BRYC fellows are needed to do community service at the BRYC house. Must be 13 or older.

CASA VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION, Capital Area CASA Association — (225) 379-8598: Find out how you can become a voice for an abused neglected child while he or she awaits a safe and permanent home during this 45-minute informational session April 20 from noon to 12:45 p.m. Must be 21 or older.

BABYSITTING, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Baton Rouge — (225) 336-8700: A volunteer is needed to help watch children during special events, such as evening classes at Catholic Charities. Most meetings only last an hour or two on a weeknight. Childcare will take place at Catholic Charities facility. Must be 21 or older.

YOUTH PROGRAM VOLUNTEERS, The Salvation Army — (225) 367-6904: Volunteers are needed for youth tutoring programs and school of performing art programs. Volunteer hours are 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, 5-8 p.m. Monday, 3:30-5 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, 3:30-6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. A background check will be done. Must be 18 or older.
