Beer-Cooked Sausage is an easy appetizer to take anywhere. Bring along a decorative server or serve in fresh bell peppers for a fun, colorful presentation.
Serve with crackers, cubed cheese or whatever your taste buds desire.
What’s nice about appetizers like this is that they are easy to transport and don’t necessarily need to be served hot or even warm. Just enjoy.
In this recipe, I used a smoked sausage, but you can use bratwurst. The beer provides a mild, yet tasty, flavor to the sausage, no matter the variety.
As for the type of beer, use what you like. I poured in a light variety, one that isn’t too overwhelming. It is also a recipe that can easily be doubled.
