Is there a link where a patron may use the East Baton Rouge Parish Library to get summer reading lists for public and other schools in this parish?
Summer reading lists are available at each individual school’s website. The library does have reading lists for grades K-5 available in the Kids Section (click on the “Great Reads” link) at http://www.ebrpl.com, but we recommend visiting the school’s individual website for the official summer reading list. For more information, contact either the Children’s Department at (225) 231-3760 or the Young Adult Department at (225) 231-3770.
Can I check out artwork from the library?
Yes. Paintings and sculptures may be checked out for six weeks, and may be renewed once.
Some 133,628 children, teens and adults have participated in the library’s annual Summer Reading Program since 2003. Readers have earned well more than a million prizes and incentives plus the best prizes of all — free programs and fabulous reading all summer long. “Summer Reading” officially began at the East Baton Rouge Parish Library on Wednesday. Children, teenagers and adults can sign up at any branch.
