Cindy Wonderful will present the “Brothers We Love” group art exhibition 7 p.m.-10 p.m. Saturday at Chez Fab — Urban Art House, 3993 Iroquois St.
“The concept is to bring a wide, diverse group of people together to celebrate the creative spirit,” Wonderful says. “At the same time I want to break down some of the stereotypes that surround the 70805 zip code and let people have the opportunity to have an experience that might change their perspective.”
Wonderful’s last event drew everyone from people from the community, neighbors who might not otherwise go to an art exhibition, to LSU professors to gallery owners to curators.
The works included street art and work by artists who previously have not shown in galleries or museums. Artists also were diverse in age and race.
This show will include artists Tanya Ruffin, Leiana Loveday Funck, Michelle Elder, Brittney Morse, Neda Parandian, Nellie Reesby, Arthouse 2041, Gabriel Alfonso, Aguilar and Jacob Mitchell.
“I am encouraging people to enjoy themselves and experience something new and establish unlikely alliances,” Wonderful says.
