“Education Reform in Louisiana: Progress or Regress” is the topic for the LSU Legends Forum scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday in 225 Peabody Hall at LSU.

Panelists are Herman Brister Sr. and Ron Johnson, of East Baton Rouge Parish schools; Kenneth Fasching-Varner and Roland Mitchell, of the LSU School of Education; Derrius Montgomery, of Stand for Children Louisiana and A.P. Tureaud Jr., retired from of White Plains, New York, public schools.

The event will include a salute to 2014 LSU legends Mary Evelyn Baszile, retired LSU administrator, and Gideon T. Carter III, Class of 1977.

The forum is hosted by the LSU A.P. Tureaud Sr. Black Alumni Chapter and the LSU College of Human Sciences and Education.
