VOLUNTEER WITH HORSES, Gaitway Therapeutic Horseback Riding — Shelley Rose, (225) 766-1614: Volunteers are needed to work directly with participants and the horses. Previous experience is not necessary.

Each volunteer is trained for a specific job, such as horse leaders, side-walkers and assisting with off-the-horse activities. Volunteers may also provide assistance with special events and projects, administrative support and other areas of the program.

BRYC is a beneficiary of this year’s Inner Wheel Trash and Treasure Sale, which will be held Friday, March 6, through Sunday, March 8, at the old Mervyn’s Department Store, 9389 Cortana Place. Volunteers are needed to help set up and help during the sale.

INCLUSIVE BASKETBALL, The ARC of Baton Rouge — Lauren O’Neill ,(225) 927-0855: Inclusive Basketball provides an opportunity for youth of all abilities to play sports and engage in teamwork. Volunteers will play in the ARC’s inclusive basketball league. The games are held on Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wear clothing suitable for playing basketball.
