DETAILS: Susan Ford Bales, daughter of the late President Gerald and Betty Ford, will speak about her mother’s very public struggle and recovery from alcoholism and painkillers addiction and later opening the Betty Ford Center for recovering addicts, where Bales remains an active family representative. Annette Camp is honorary chairperson of the event. The O’Brien House opened in 1971, and is dedicated to saving “lives and families from alcoholism and drug abuse through residential treatment and community outreach.” The breakfast is a reservation-only event, and while it is free, a request for donations will be made.
