Thursday Red Stick market restart delayed

The recent freezing temperatures have delayed the restart of the Thursday Red Stick Farmers Market, behind Pennington Biomedical Research Center in Baton Rouge, according to spokeswoman Darlene Adams Rowland.

“We’ll check in with farmers this weekend to see if next Thursday (Jan. 22) is a go,” she said.

The Saturday market operates at Fifth and Main streets in downtown Baton Rouge from 8 a.m. to noon.

Big River Economic & Agricultural Development Alliance sponsors the markets.
