MONDAY, JULY 4

STAR-SPANGLED CELEBRATION: starting at noon, downtown area around the USS Kidd. Music, food, mock air-sea battle, hot air balloon liftoff. Free.

PLAQUEMINE CELEBRATION: Bayou Plaquemine Waterfront Park. Family-oriented activities, music, boat parade, free admission to the Plaquemine Lock State Historic Site and the Iberville Museum, fireworks. (225) 687-3116.
