Holly Clegg, chef and author of the Trim & Terrific cookbook series, will be the recipient of the Baton Rouge Epicurean Society’s 10th annual Grace “Mama” Marino Lifetime Achievement Award for 2016. Clegg got the news at a luncheon Monday at Gino’s Restaurant with members of the BRES board and select media.
The award honors an epicure from the Greater Baton Rouge area who has dedicated much of her life in service to the Baton Rouge community. Clegg has made it her goal to improve the community’s overall health via her cookbooks, national TV appearances, Web MD, The Daily Meal and Huffington Post while also partnering with local organizations such as Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.
Clegg will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award Aug. 25 at seven-course dinner at L’Auberge Casino & Hotel. For more information, visit the website www.feterougebr.com.
