LAFAYETTE — Scott’s Krewe of Atlantis and its guest were asked to climb “All Aboard the Zydeco Train” for the group’s 17th annual ball and pageant on Jan. 12 at the Hotel Acadiana.

Reigning over the festivities was Queen Hera XVI Elizabeth Richard Credeur. Her majesty, the wife of Allen Credeur, is a member of the krewes of Atlantis and Olympus.

Four royal maids were presented to the strains of Zydeco music from “Johnny Billy Goat” to “Zydeco with Geno.”

They were: Bettie Thibodeaux, wife of Wayne Thibodeaux and a member of the krewe of Atlantis and Olympus and Scott Business Association; Cynthia Prejean, wife of Johnny Prejean and a member of the Krewe of Atlantis and Catholic Daughters; Debbie McFarland, a member of the Krewe of Atlantis and a school volunteer; and Jeanette Lanclos, the wife of Glenn Lanclos and a member of the Krewe of Atlantis and Sts. Peter & Paul Ladies Altar Society.

Serving as ball mistress was Helen Kennedy, and master of ceremonies was Donald Richard.
