Spring gardens topic for ‘Reflections’ event

Wanda Chase of Imahara’s Landscape offered a checklist of tools, materials and plants to create a spring garden at the Burden Horticulture Society’s “Reflections in the Garden” program on Feb. 4 at the Burden Center. She showed labor-saving tools and live plants that are good to use in a spring garden.

“Reflections in the Garden” is a monthly lunch-and-learn program about horticulture and gardening. Chase assists Program Chairwoman Sherry Eubanks arranging 2013 programs. Pete Newton, landscape architect with the Newton Landscape Group, will give a simple landscape primer from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, March 4, at the LSU AgCenter Burden Conference Center, 4560 Essen Lane.
