All I need is a cool snap to get a pot soup on the stove. This Chicken Tortilla Soup is easy to put together and one my family likes. It’s a semihomemade recipe using cooked chicken, canned and frozen vegetables, along with sautéed fresh vegetables.

This is a soup all ages enjoy. Pass separate bowls of avocado slices, shredded cheese and sour cream for garnishing and let each person garnish their own.

The recipe instructions call for simmering the soup for three hours over low heat. You can easily get by with less time then that since almost everything is already cooked.
