For the 32nd year, Beth Shalom Synagogue in Baton Rouge will hold its corned beef sandwich sale 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday-Tuesday.

It’s the snyagogue’s largest fundraiser. This year, Beth Shalom expects to sell about 2,000 of the sandwiches, and 300 tuna and egg salad sandwiches, menu options added a few years ago that have now become a tradition.

The public is invited to the sale, which offers drive-thru service on Sunday, and drive-thru or delivery on Monday and Tuesday.

Order online at or call (225) 924-6773. Each $10 sandwich comes with chips, a kosher pickle and a homemade brownie.

The funds raised by the sale go to the Beth Shalom Synagogue Sisterhood, which uses the money to support youth and educational programs at Beth Shalom and St. Vincent de Paul programs, as well as holiday celebrations at the temple.
