Extras: Brennon Young participates in a variety of activities including football, Fellowship of Christian Students, Beta Club, Leadership Team, Hunting and Fishing Club, Adventure Sports Club and Student Council. He was awarded Leader Among Us for 10th grade, Encampment Staff Honor Cadet Award at the Louisiana Wing Encampment at Barksdale Air Force Base 2010, Capital City Composite Squadron Cadet Member of the Year Award 2010 and Central Middle School Student of the Year for 2010-11 and most recently the General Billy Mitchell Award, which comes with a promotion from cadet to cadet second lieutenant, moving Young from the enlisted phase of the Civil Air Patrol cadet program to the officer phase.
