The Baton Rouge Delta Development Corp. and Baton Rouge Delta Alumnae Chapter will present 15 young women at the annual Debutante Cotillion. This year’s ball on Aug. 8 marks the 50th Golden Anniversary of the cotillion.

The debutantes will be introduced to the community Sunday, June 14, during the chapter’s annual Presentation Tea, with a theme of “An Evening with the Debutantes,” at the Baton Rouge Delta Sorority House.

Debutantes are Keiturah Dy’mon Barber, daughter of Jacqueline Anderson Barber and Keith Dwayne Barber Sr., of Baton Rouge; Nicole Alexandria Bartley, daughter of Janice Little Bartley and Frank Bartley III, of Baton Rouge; Randi Joell Eames, daughter of Melanie D. Eames, of Baton Rouge, and the late Randy Joe Taylor; Destiny Dominique Ephrom, daughter of John and Alisa Y. Ephrom, of Baton Rouge; Nicole Nachelle Goree, daughter of Machelle Wilcox Goree and Eduardo N. Keiturah Dy’mon Barber is a 2015 graduate of Madison Preparatory Academy, where she was a member of Young Ladies of Distinction, Baton Rouge Young Marines, 2014 Homecoming Junior Maid, the bowling team and the Dancing Diamonds dance team. She is a member of the Liturgical Dance Team of New Beginnings Ministry. She received special awards and recognition as Miss Precious Jewel 2014. She is the granddaughter of the late Lillian Marks Anderson and the late Walter Lee Anderson and Charles and Della Causey Follins, of Baton Rouge. Nicole Alexandria Bartley is a 2015 graduate of Southern University Laboratory High School, where she was a member of the Student Government Association, I Care, the varsity basketball and track teams, and an honor graduate. She earned the Academic Sports Award and served as Miss Southern High Homecoming queen. She is the granddaughter of Emma Stevenson Little, of Baton Rouge, and the late Robert Little Sr. and the late Hazel Smith Bartley and the late Frank Bartley Sr. She is sponsored by Eva B. Randi Joell Eames is a 2015 graduate of Scotlandville Magnet High School, where she was a member of the Student Government Association, National Deca and was listed as an A/B Honor Roll student. She is the great granddaughter of Inez Drake Haynes, of Baton Rouge, and the late Lee Tillman Haynes Sr. and the granddaughter of the late Brenda Haynes Eames and the late Charles White Jr. and Rose E. Destiny Dominique Ephrom is a senior at University Laboratory High School, where she is a member of the volleyball and basketball teams and was the 2014 Winter Formal queen. She was also one of the top three girl finalists in the The Advocate’s 30th anniversary, 2014-15 Athlete of the Year. She is a member of the youth and sanctuary choirs at Mc-Kowen Baptist Church. She is the granddaughter of Joyce S. Louden, of Brusly, and the late James Louden and Amelia Alexander Ephrom, of Baton Rouge, and the late John Ephrom. She is sponsored by her mother, Alisa Y. Nicole Nachellé Goree is a senior at Southern University Laboratory High School, where she is a member of the Beta Club and the Mock Trial Team, and will serve as 2015-2016 co-captain of the cheer squad. She is a member of the Greater King David Youth Choir. She is the granddaughter of Bertha Broaden Wilcox, of Baton Rouge, and the late Carol R. Wilcox Sr. and Robert D. Goree, of Baton Rouge, and the late Mabelene Goree. She is sponsored by her cousin, DeShawn Stone Robinson, and Keshala B. Jackson, both members of BRDDC and Baton Rouge Delta Alumnae Chapter.

Brianna De’Shay Franklin Haney is a senior at Northeast High School in Pride, where she is captain of the varsity cheer squad, a member of the basketball, volleyball and track and field teams and is a member of the Greater Philadelphia Baptist Church Youth Choir. She is the granddaughter of Beverly Jackson Franklin, of Zachary, and the late Wilbert J. Franklin and Deborah Cooper, of Baton Rouge. She is sponsored by Shirley L. Danae Shakira Middleton is a senior at McKinley Senior High School, where she is a cheerleader and a member of The Fashion Club. She is also a member of the Angels of Hope Liturgical Dance Team. Jaia La’Nique Norris-Ewing is a senior attending Broadmoor High School, where she is a member of the dance team and the Homecoming Committee and vice president of Future Farmers of America. Madison Lee Sutton is a senior attending Elizabeth Seton High School in Bladensburg, Maryland, and is a member of lacrosse team, the engineering and design program and special engineering robotics group and a member of the Concert Band. She is the granddaughter of Johnny Robert and Dorothy Early Davis, of Baton Rouge, and Helen Jeanpierre Sutton, of New Roads, and the late Alex Sutton. She is sponsored by her cousins, Rita M. Dominique Arielle Thomas is a 2015 graduate of Donaldsonville High School, where she was a member of the band, and Senior Beta Club. She is a member of the River Road African American Museum Sign Language Ensemble, and National Society of Black Engineers — Junior Pre-College Initiative Program. She is the granddaughter of Joyce A. Price, of Plaquemine, and the Rev. Allen Edwards, of Killeen, Texas, and Dianne S. Herbert, of Donaldsonville, and Charles Thomas, of Donaldsonville. She is sponsored by her grandmother, Joyce A. All former debutantes, queens and royal court members are invited to join in the celebration during the golden year. The Grand Cotillion will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel, 7000 Bluebonnet Blvd., Baton Rouge.
