Karnival Krewe de Louisiane has announced 14 young women to be presented as its 2016 debutantes at the group’s annual Mardi Gras Ball on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016, at the Baton Rouge River Center.

They are Caroline Paige Babin, daughter of Dr. Kevin and Paige Babin; Susanna Katalina Bilbao, daughter of Gilberto and Mary Bilbao; Lauren Kate Foshee, daughter of Ronald Foshee and Katie Lasseigne; Cecilia Angelle Fuller, daughter of Neal and Christine Fuller; Claire Christiana Gregoire, daughter of Victor and Shannon Gregoire; Lillian Roques Mayhall, daughter of Nannette Mayhall; Mary Grace Miller, daughter of Jeffery T. and Mary Lou Miller; Michaela Mary Mitchell, daughter of Dr. Horace and Michelle Mitchell; Ava Claire Perego, daughter of Dr. Alan and Lucretia Perego; Ava Catherine Politz, daughter of Russell and Dana Cazalot Politz; Ashley Marie Roy, daughter of Sanford and Jan Roy; Amelia Aline Talbot, daughter of Todd and Patricia Talbot; Avery Elizabeth Talbot, daughter of Kevin and Janet Talbot; and Madelyn Kaye Wilks, daughter of Mark and Lynette Wilks.

Caroline Paige Babin, a senior at St. Joseph’s Academy, is the granddaughter of Paula and Samuel Speligene, of Gonzales, and Lena and Shelton Babin, of Geismar.

Susanna Katalina Bilbao, a senior at The Dunham School, is the granddaughter of the late Ann and James Hugh Alexander, and Frida Bilbao, of Santa Cruz, Bolivia, and the late Jose Gilberto Bilbao.

Lauren Kate Foshee, a senior at St. Joseph’s Academy, is the granddaughter of the late Wanda and James Wood, and Kay C. Churchill, of Madison, Mississippi, and the late Jobe Edward Foshee.

Cecilia Angelle Fuller, a senior at St. Joseph’s Academy, is the granddaughter of Lourdes Alvarez and the late Jorge Alvarez, and Nancy and Pete Campbell, of Richmond, Texas, and James Fuller, of Ruston.

Claire Christiana Gregoire, a senior at the University Laboratory School, is the granddaughter of Chris Chaisson, of Lafayette, and the late Wilton Chaisson, and Linda Clayton, of New Orleans, and Louis Victor Gregoire Sr., of Atlanta, Georgia.

Lillian Roques Mayhall, a senior at St. Joseph’s Academy, is the granddaughter of the late Marie and Col. Van R. Mayhall Sr.

Mary Grace Miller, a senior at St. Joseph’s Academy, is the granddaughter of Paula Crifasi Miller and the late Larry Eugene Miller, and Loritha and Clifton Miller, of Iowa, Louisiana.

Michaela Mary Mitchell, a senior at St. Joseph’s Academy, is the granddaughter of the late Mary Jane and Bennie Phillips, and Willie Mitchell, of Albany, Georgia, and the late Marie Jackson.

Ava Claire Perego, a senior at The Dunham School, is the granddaughter of Lena and Louis Peranio and the late Frank Zito, and Ann Perego, of Alexandria, and the late Dr. Kenneth L. Perego.

Ava Catherine Politz, a senior at St. Joseph’s Academy, is the granddaughter of James Stanford Cazalot, of Bunkie, and the late Vonceil Lemoine Cazalot, and Catherine Polito Politz and Anthony Politz II.

Ashley Marie Roy, a senior at St. Joseph’s Academy, is the granddaughter of Patricia Valeton Aubert and the late Dr. Clinton Charles Aubert, and Marilyn Joy Adams Roy and the late Thomas Albin Roy III.

Amelia Aline Talbot, a senior at St. Joseph’s Academy, is the granddaughter of Patricia Lambert Brignac and the late Windom Brignac, and the late Florence and Ames Talbot.

Avery Elizabeth Talbot, a senior at St. Joseph’s Academy, is the granddaughter of Dr. R. Harold and Patricia Brown, of Athens, Georgia, and the late Florence and Ames Joseph Talbot.

Madelyn Kaye Wilks, a senior at St. Joseph’s Academy, is the granddaughter of Sandra Poe Ruttman and Robert Ruttman, of Walker, and Ann Padgett, of Smoaks, South Carolina, and the late Mayor James G. Padgett Jr.; and Peggy Gilpin Wilks, of Greenwell Springs, and the late Wilson Walton Wilks.

Founded in 1987, Karnival Krewe de Louisiane is dedicated to cancer research and patient care in the Baton Rouge area, raising funds for the cancer program of Our Lady of the Lake - Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. Through its annual Mardi Gras ball and other events, the krewe has been able to provide from $175,000 to $200,000 annually to the program.
