You mention playing music; what did you play?

I played trombone in high school and college, then started playing with the René Louapre Society Orchestra in New Orleans. We played for all the Mardi Gras balls and debutante parties there as well as some here in Baton Rouge. It’s actually how I met my wife, Kathleen. René was her father; I went to bring him some music one night and met her.”
