Each week The Advocate asks a different “quiz taker” for his or her current favorites in pop culture.

QUIZ TAKER: Dionne Viator, 47, executive vice president and chief business development officer for Baton Rouge General Medical Center and 2013 American Heart Association Go Red For Women chairwoman.

WHAT I’M LISTENING TO: “My music choices really depend on what I’m doing — ‘80s for exercise, news/talk radio while driving by myself, and my favorite is country XM ‘Highway’ when I’m with my kids. We can’t wait for the Baton Rouge Bayou Country Music Fest!”

WHAT I’M READING: “I always look forward to the Thursday Food section in The Advocate. We enjoy healthy cooking at home, and have had great success with the healthy recipes featured. I’m also always soaking up professional literature, and at the moment, have a historical fiction on the side, too, for fun. ”

WHAT I’M WATCHING: “My family teases me — we occasionally rent movies, but I really don’t sit much! I do make sure to catch our local and cable news in the evenings.”

WHERE I’M SURFING (ON THE INTERNET): “My family and I love cooking together, so the Food Network website is great for delicious, heart healthy meals, like the Bobby Flay Fit tips. Http://www.Heart.org and http://www.BRGeneral.org’s Piece of Cake are great sources for us too — they give us great ideas on how to make healthy living fun for our whole family.”

WHAT’S YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE? “I do enjoy our family sunset boat cruises in Toledo Bend, sipping a wonderful glass (of) red wine. I don’t feel so guilty about it, though, because some experts say that red wine in moderation (4 to 5 ounces per day) could actually benefit our heart!”

What is your favorite part of Valentine’s Day?

“My husband Scott and I both work and travel frequently, so we have a standing date every Valentine’s Day for quiet, quality time together. Relaxation is so important to maintaining mind-body wellness, particularly when it comes to our heart health.”

EVENT INFORMATION: The Go Red For Women Luncheon will be 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, Feb. 21, at the Baton Rouge River Center Grand Ballroom. For more information, call (800) 257-6941.
