- BIRD FAIR AND SALE: 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Ponchatoula Lions Club, 750 E. Pine St., Ponchatoula. Talk to breeders and see exotic birds of all sizes: finches, parakeets, lovebirds, cockatiels, macaws, cockatoos, African greys, Amazons and more.
- GERMAN COAST SUMMER FARMER’S ARTS AND CRAFTS MARKET: 8 a.m.-noon, Ormond Plantation, River Road, Destrehan. The Arts and Crafts Market is a producer-only event (artists must create what they sell). Eligible items include, but are not limited to: jewelry, paintings, pottery, quilts, custom furniture, textile and needle art, stained and blown glass, photography, woodwork, sculpture and mixed media. The farmer’s market will feature seasonal fruit, vegetables, meat, desserts, artisan bread, homemade items, plants, soaps, candles, local wine and bee honey, and seafood.
