I think we can all appreciate a beautiful dessert. The presentation is often part of the wonder. Then, of course, there is the taste.
Using the slow cooker for desserts is not typically on the top five dessert ideas. While cooks may think of it for dinner, dessert is another matter. It is, however, a good way to have a stress-free experience. In this recipe for Praline Sundae, the warm sauce mixture is heated in the cooker before adding to ice cream at the very last minute.
Making a rich sundae was never easier. There’s no need to cook the sauce longer than a couple of hours.
Ice cream topped with a sauce made with pecans, toffee bits, brown sugar and half-and-half is a rich ending to just about any dinner and is perfect for a summer’s day.
