Well-known chef Jean French will demonstrate “Cooking With French Flair” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, at the Ione Burden Conference Center, 4560 Essen Lane, in Baton Rouge.

A native of France, French has won national and international awards for his work with culinary herbs. During the program, sponsored by the Baton Rouge Unit of the Herb Society of America, he will make Tuscan seafood with angel hair pasta and talk about how he grows and uses herbs in his work.

Visitors and guests pay $5; Herb Society members are admitted free.
