  • DETAILS: At this meeting of the Baton Rouge Unit of the Herb Society of America (members admitted free), Sykes will talk about restoration of the historic gardens at Magnolia Mound, a remarkable Creole plantation house on its original location, and built in the 1700s. It is now owned by BREC. It is full of historic furniture lovingly bought and cared for by Friends of Magnolia Mound Plantation, a nonprofit organization that supports Magnolia Mound as an important historic site. Sykes is a longtime member of the Southern Gardens Association and is knowledgeable about authentic historic gardens.

HALLOWEEN BASH
