Suffering with allergies? Have clogged sinuses? In my unofficial, momlike opinion, the slow cooker might be able to help.
Use it to prepare a batch of Apple Green Tea. At the very least, the recipe might make your clogged sinuses feel a little better. A bonus is that it makes the house smell pretty good.
Simmering green tea is my “go-to” when colds or allergies hit. Having a batch in the slow cooker also means you have a ready supply of heated tea at your disposal throughout the day.
Adding fruit juice makes the drink just a bit more interesting flavor-wise. Put in a few cinnamon sticks, and the flavor is especially pleasing.
Want to make a different flavor? Substitute the same amount of pineapple juice for the apple.
Whatever your usual method is for dealing with unpleasant cold or allergy symptoms, adding a cup of warm green tea will hopefully ease some of your woes.
