GRIND FEST: Noon to 2 a.m. Saturday, and noon to midnight Sunday, The Freetown Boom Boom Room, 300 McKinley St., Lafayette. Featuring performances from local rock bands such Vermilion Whiskey, Cheater Pipe, Sick Sick Sick, and Brother Jac. $10 each day. $15 for two-day bracelet.

HOLIDAY ARTS MARKET: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Palmer Park, South Carrollton and South Claiborne avenues, New Orleans. Featuring more than 80 artists selling their wares as well as food and live music.
